What to Expect at Your First Visit
Your first appointment is an opportunity for us to get to know you, understand your concerns and assess your oral health.
Tell us about any pain, sensitivity or changes you’ve noticed, as well as your medical history and any medications you take. If you’re nervous about dental care or haven’t visited a dentist for some time, please let us know.
Your dentist will assess your teeth, gums and mouth and discuss whether X-rays or other assessments are appropriate. We’ll explain what we find in plain language and talk through recommended treatment and associated costs before you decide how to proceed.

Helping You Feel Comfortable
Dental visits can feel daunting, particularly if you’ve had a difficult experience or it has been a while since your last appointment. There’s no judgement about where you’re starting.
Let us know what concerns you when booking. We can discuss your needs, answer questions and explain what to expect.
Our treatment rooms have TVs to provide a distraction during your appointment. We also offer nitrous oxide, sometimes called happy gas, for suitable patients. Your dentist can explain whether this option is appropriate for you.
Health Fund Claims and Payment Options
HICAPS is available at the clinic for eligible on-the-spot health fund claims. Your rebate and any out-of-pocket costs depend on your policy, remaining limits and the treatment provided.
Please bring your health fund card. If you’re unsure about your cover, check with your fund before your appointment.
